As I said, a doctor might be more appropriate to help with your personal
issues. I honestly think that if you get scared when some project uses CVS
then you have some anxiety disorder - it's not in any way "normal" to get
scared by that, so if you honestly get scared (thats what you wrote in
your e-mail), then you are better off seeing a professional.
This is not meant to be disrespectful (in fact, I fully respect your scare
problem), but you should think about whether it is appropriate for you to
bring your personal issues to a technical mailinglist.

I told you clearly that this is not about personal preference but
following the RFCs, whose purpose is to make mails readable well by all,
not just a select group of corporate e-mail clients. It's also part of the
netiquette, which also exists for that reason (among others).

You are not a new user, you are just a concern troll. The above sentence
proves that clearly: you did not have any technical question, nothing to
contribute, you only spread FUD ("cvs is not modern, I can't come up with
a reason why anybody would use that?") and stir concern ("oooh, the poor
new users").
In case it isn't obvious enough to you: new users who are interested
in something don't go to mailinglists and tell people they are scared
becauser their source control system isn't modern, they instead evaluate
the code.
