Doesn't consumer Windows work like the Star Wars TOS movies, with the odd-numbered versions sucking? 3.x was awful, 9x was okay, ME was too unstable, XP was fine, Vista was too bloated... so while I haven't used 7 yet, I thought it was their turn to put out an improvement again. (I say "an improvement", as I'm reserving "good" for when they put out actual POSIX support.
