In the future it would be easiest for us to work with attached patch
files (the output of a "diff" command) than with code inline in your
email.  But this is a big enough patch that I wanted to look over the
code line by line anyway, and while doing that I fixed up the
formatting that my email client mangled.  Anyway, a patch with broken
formatting is always preferable to no patch at all.  ;-)

The Elem:: methods both look good to me.  I'll add those to SVN right
away.  Thanks!

I'm going to wait on the other two methods; both look reasonable to
me, but since I haven't done much hacking on the BoundaryInfo class
myself, I'd like to wait to hear other developers' thoughts.
