I thought that the meshes would be enought because you could read them 
in with and without your fix and see that the get read differently.

Anyway, I now put the systems files up for download (replace "mesh" 
with "systms" in the filenames).  They are 80MB and 110MB, 
respectively.  You will see that there are quite a lot of systems in 
there and that some of them have a lot of additional vectors and also 
more than one variable.  The components that I used in my test are 
the solution vectors of the following:

        system name     variable name
-------------------------------------
T:      Temperature     temp
P:      Potential       pot

Hope that helps.  Let me know when you downloaded everything.
