Hi Cody, thanks for your reply. That's exactly the strange thing - I couldn't find any error messages either. It just aborts with error 1. I tried to build the same libmesh with my old petsc-3.1 - I get the same warnings but it finishes the building process. I just updated to petsc3.2 because I wanted to try the -pc_type gamg option. Additionally I included '--download-ml=1'.
