You bring apples INTO Idaho from Canada?  At the current exchange rate?  And
you CAN APPLES?  At this time of year, just before they get good & cheap?

Maybe the latitude difference can explain the time of year thing.  But I
still find it strange that anyone would bring back a box of apples into what
AFAIK is just as good apple country, when it's not as if the US dollar gets
you bargains any more.  And canning apples just seems odd to me when they're
so easily available, unless you just like COOKED apples a lot, so you get
them slightly cheaper.  Heh -- like the recipe on the Ritz cracker box for
mock apple pie -- no apples needed, as if apples were some exotic fruit.

Didja bring back any potatoes?
