Hi all, Here's an interesting reflexion from an Indian publisher (Pratham Books) on issues related to "Copyright, Dissemination and Independent Publishing".
http://blog.prathambooks.org/2010/07/spreading-word-social-publishing.html For the record, Pratham Books made available his catalogue to OLPC deployments in Nepal and Rwanda. This is a contribution to the discussion about the challenges for book publishers of the open licences, especially on the background of the ebooks projects that are emerging actually. This is an important issue for those of us who consider partnering with traditional book publishers on ebook projects as it is the case, for exemple at OLPC France. For more information about our reflexions and projects on the ebooks and contents front, see: http://olpc-france.org/blog/2010/06/nosy-komba-livres-en-iles-les-voix-du-sud/ http://olpc-france.org/blog/2010/06/nosy-komba-quels-contenus-pour-les-xos/ http://olpc-france.org/wiki/index.php?title=Ebooks_Madagascar http://olpc-france.org/wiki/index.php?title=Le_tour_du_monde_en_80_ebouquins Regards, Samy _______________________________________________ Library mailing list [email protected] http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/library
