It is very strange that we can't control, as it seems, where we land on
startup...
a New Document,
the latest Session*,
or the Start Center...
I mean, this would be a great enhancement!
Meaning: an option in the menu.. like Tools / Options / "on startup show: ..."
Firefox has this :)
That is, billions have this "UX" on a daily basis...
* I'm aware that sessions don't exist (yet :))

PS:
the other enhancement could be making the start center available anytime...
from the "Window" menu...
(it could be called anything, document center, control panel, whatever..
doesn't need to be called start center and thus be restricted to a startup
window)
