            Bug ID: 159399
Summary: Replacing a word at the beginning of a marked sequence
                    loses marker color
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.5.9.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

This bug has been around for a LONG time. Seems minor, but over the years...

How to reproduce:

1. Copy and paste this sentence into Libreoffice Writer (yes, this one!).

2. Mark the words "paste this sentence into" and highlight them in a background
color of your choice (for instance, bright yellow).

3. Doubleclick the word "paste".

4. Type "insert" instead.

5. RESULT: The word "insert" isn't highlighted anymore. The expected result is
that, if you replace a word within a highlighted section, it should remain
highlighted.
