So clearly a copy of 80000 > cells results in a massive image. On my machine, copying A1:H10000 will cause LibreOffice to try and create a bitmap that is 1806 x 516820 pixels. That is nearly 1 GB of pixels! Maybe a possible solution is for Calc to not add the BMP format if the number of pixels is more than 1 MB of pixels or something?
