What if LO asks the user to release / clean the _relevant_ clipboard space (without touching other clipboard areas that might be occupied by unrelated items, perhaps originated by other programs) when the user attempts to close the program (or maybe, the spreadsheet file)? IIRC, there are some similar comments in some other reports.
