Bug ID: 162590
Summary: Thin gap between two snapped objects
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 24.2.5.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Draw
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
This happens with Libre Office Draw and Impress (24.2), likely other modules as
well. In order to reproduce this bug, one may create two shapes with no lines
and snap them together. One can see from the "position and size" option that
there should be no empty space between them. For example, there are 2 square
(both 20x20 mm) and their X coordinates vary by exactly 20.00 mm. However, one
can see a thin line both in LibreOffice modules as well as in the exported pdf
that the objects did not snap together properly. There seems to be a 1 pixel
thin line between them.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create two shapes (of the same color for better visibility)
2. Snap them together.
Actual Results:
Depending on the screen resolution, zoom in and out to see the 1 pixel thin
line between them. It may be visible all the time or it may appear and
disappear in different zoom levels. One can also see the thin gap if one
attempts to export the file as a vector graphics format.
Expected Results:
If two 20.00x20.00mm (just an example measurement, any other measurement is
fine) squares are snapped side-by-side and their X coordinates differ by
exactly 20.00 mm, irregardless of the zoom level, there should be no pixel thin
gap betwen them, neither in any LibreOffice module, nor in exported PDFs.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
An example pdf with an attached .odg file is also uploaded to demonstrate the
bug(s).
