--- Comment #17 from Albert Acer <[email protected]> --- >From my humble position as an ordinary user, I, in some cases, put myself in the place of all the other basic, non-advanced users who migrate to LibreOffice from other office suites where the “Cross-reference” concept is handled. I guess LO wanted to keep the “Cross-reference” concept to ease the learning curve for those coming from other office suites to make the assimilation of LO more transparent and intuitive and to avoid those users feeling lost when migrating to LO applications. So, in my concept, the sentence “In the Selection list, the select caption number of the object that you want to cross-reference" should have been translated as, "En la lista <emph>Selección</emph> elija el número de la leyenda del objeto al que quiera hacer referencia." However, debates like this do not always bear good fruit and sometimes instead of uniting they polarize. That is why I accept and respect the assessments and arguments of linguists and experts in the use of our native Spanish language. If Adolfo considers that the translation of “Cross-reference” should remain as it is now, I, in a conciliatory tone, will not oppose it. I am just a user who learned to love LibreOffice and that is why I dedicate time and effort to help detect visible errors in the Spanish version, from Colombia. Blessings to all. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
