The icons on the grid are the 24px standard size and match the Tools -> Options -> View "large" icon setting for Toolbar/Sidebar/NB. Selecting Extra Large (32px) toolbar icon theme does not affect the grid. The Sifr icon themes (Light or Dark) are our "accessible" icons, and offer a better contrast/iconography of the border each icon represents. If your desktop is operating at 2560 x 1440 (16:9) your os/DE likely can reduce that to a different 16:9 resolution--e.g. 1920 x 1080, everything in the UI will occupy more space. You can also attempt a proportional scaling factor 1.5, 2.0, 2.5; but that behaves differently depending on os/DE.
