--- Comment #78 from bick-qlb <[email protected]> ---
macOS is able to show preview of file in the Finder.
This works well for
Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint files (docx, xlsx, pptx),
even when the docx-file is created with LibreOffice, NeoOffice, SoftMaker
Office,
even when the xlsx-file is created with LibreOffice, NeoOffice, SoftMaker
Office,
even when the pptx-file is created with LibreOffice, NeoOffice, SoftMaker
Office.
LibreOffice

Präsentation/Presentation odp: macOS 11.7 Big Sur yes, 14.7 blurred (pixels to
guess from)

Quick Look for odt-files made by LibreOffice Text, Microsoft Word, NeoOffice
Writer;
No Quick Look for ods-files made by LibreOffice (for 14.7), Excel, NeoOffice;
Blurred Quick Look for opd-files made by LibreOffice (for 14.7), PowerPoint,
NeoOffice.

Obviously there is some code that allows Microsoft Office documents formats
and odt-files made from all office suites to show a preview (thumbnail image)
in the finder.
Please put this code also into LibreOffice spreadsheet and presentation editors
so that also ods- and odp-files will have their preview in the sidecolumn!
