This is a really good idea. Create a non-administrator (i.e. standard) user,
switch to the user, install LibreOffice 24.8.4 in a different folder (e.g. the
new user's Desktop), and run it.

That way, you should have default system preferences, LibreOffice preferences,
and no LibreOffice extensions or third-party tools in the menubar.
