You are not alone. Many of our forms that had worked flawlessly for over a
decade are now broken (e.g., timesheets/project time tracking and similar
tools) after upgrading all clients to Fedora 41, shipping LO 24.8.4.2 (X86_64).
The same applies to my broader network. I can only hope the original behavior
will be restored quickly.

Additionally, the current behavior is problematic because even valid values are
rejected when entered manually. Example:

A cell providing a selection for dates via "Data Validation->Criteria->Cell
range" pointing to a helper table listing all of the days of the current month,
without Error Alert. It is NOT POSSIBLE to put in VALID VALUES like 2025-01-12
manually even I can select 2025-01-12 from the dropdown.
