--- Comment #24 from Andreas Haerter (foundata) <[email protected]> --- (In reply to ornanovitch from comment #0) > Users like me (I hope I'm not the only one) have "used" this bug as if it > was a feature in order to achieve a sort of "suggestion dropdown" (like a > helper: you can chose a predefined value or enter yours), which can be a > very powerful tool. You are not alone. Many of our forms that had worked flawlessly for over a decade are now broken (e.g., timesheets/project time tracking and similar tools) after upgrading all clients to Fedora 41, shipping LO 24.8.4.2 (X86_64). The same applies to my broader network. I can only hope the original behavior will be restored quickly. Additionally, the current behavior is problematic because even valid values are rejected when entered manually. Example: A cell providing a selection for dates via "Data Validation->Criteria->Cell range" pointing to a helper table listing all of the days of the current month, without Error Alert. It is NOT POSSIBLE to put in VALID VALUES like 2025-01-12 manually even I can select 2025-01-12 from the dropdown. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
