--- Comment #25 from Scott <[email protected]> --- I agree latest update has further restricted the ability to manually enter a date value that is actually listed within the data drop down menu. I want to type the date not remove my hand and be forced to mouse click an entry from a menu. A user should be able to enter valid entries listed from the menue by manually entering data / a date. I'm not trying to add text in a date cell. I'm trying to enter a date in a row from a previous day, which was valid in the drop down menue a few days earlier. Issue most often is from needing to insert rows to included data / dates outside of a drop down menu. In my case, I'm using an Excel created spreadsheet intended for home family monthly budgets. The programmer chose to limit the list visibility to ten days, I'll assume for tidyness. Not being able to enter post dated data for a prior month is not reasonable. I can see needing in some instances a restriction to a cell such a "yes" or "no" only answer choice tonbe valid. In my example the spirit of the data is still valid, it a date in a date cell. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
