Bug ID: 164737
Summary: Can't change straight quotation marks to smart quotes
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 24.8.4.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I've tried going through Autocorrect Local Options, selecting the quotes I want
from the font grid, making sure that the character ID is accurate, clicking
Accept all the way through, and nothing. I've only recently downloaded version
24.8.4.2 (Windows 11 Pro), and this is the first time I've had this. I've also
had a devil of a time getting rid of Autocorrect. Even though I've turned it
off--with difficulty, because the drop-down menu bar refused to accept that I'd
clicked it--I still get word suggestions in a little box. Please, can you help?
Steps to Reproduce:
Type quotation marks. Go Autocorrect Options, Localized Options, Quotation
marks, click on smart quotes in dropdown grid, make sure correct ID number is
in the box next to the sample, go Accept all the way through.
Actual Results:
No change. Still get " instead of smart quotations.
Expected Results:
No change.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Should have allowed me to program the quotes the way I want them.
