Summary: Problems with Writer and Failed Restart Requests

Over the last couple of days I have had to select "Restart" LibreOffice Writer
for the following reasons:
(1) Following the addition to Writer of the WritingTool extension so that it
gets activated. The restart did not occur, I had to manually relaunch Writer.
>From memory I think this was happening in LibreOffice 24.8.4.2
(2) Following making a change in Writer's (new) 25.2 "non-printing characters"
colour. Again I had to manually relaunch Writer.
(3) Requesting a "Restart in Safe Mode..." of Writer (this just for testing
purposes to see what would happen) and subsequent to that cancelling the
restart in Safe Mode by clicking the "Restart in Normal Mode". At which point
Writer isn't restarted at all.
(4) Following '(3)' above, allowing Writer to Restart in Safe Mode. But
subsequent to that I couldn't, then, get out Safe Mode. If I exit the Writer
instance which is in 'Safe Mode' and then manually relaunch Writer it launches
into Safe Mode and I can see no way of stopping that from happening. (There was
no option in (menu) Help to relaunch into 'Normal Mode'. In the end I had to
shut it all down, reboot the computer, replace my user profile with a backed-up
profile from a few days ago, launch Writer, which (mercifully) launched in
'normal mode' and I had redo a few settings to get to where I was before I got
into the mess with Safe Mode.
So is seems there are several issues with Writer and 'Restarts'. Someone needs
to test this as I think it must be bug.
