Bug ID: 165152
Summary: Feature Request: Allow Removal of Single Items in the
"Recent Documents" List
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.2.0.3 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
In the "Recent Documents" list (for all modules of LibreOffice) allow by
right-clicking on an item in the list to cause a context menu to appear with
the option to remove that single item from the list.
As things stand if I have a document in the list, but the document no longer
exists then I can't remove that single document from the list. Currently the
only way to deal with that scenario is to use the option "Clear List". In doing
that all items/documents are removed from the list, which most likely is not
what users would want to happen. I run into this problem fairly frequently and
I'm sure other users will do so as well.
Also, as things currently stand, if I click on an item in the list and that
item no longer exists then I get an "Error" dialogue saying the file does not
exist. The dialogue has an "OK" button. I would suppose that you could add to
the behaviour of that "OK" button to offer to delete the item from the list.
However, doing it that way is not as useful as having a right-click context
menu to remove any item from the list that the user so desires. Though, that
said, this might be a half-way house to managing this issue that requires less
complex coding than allowing the user to remove any item they so choose via a
right-click.
Please implement this feature I have requested. You would please many I'm sure
by doing so.
