Version: 24.8.5.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal

Assignee: [email protected]

Description:
I'm trying to create a list of dates from my genealogy package. I've got a
text file that I have successfully imported to LibreOffice Calc.
When I try to convert the dates using "format cells" to Date format
"1999-12-31" is get completely garbage results unless the contents of the cell
are in (in this case) "31st Deember 1999" format.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type 1999 into a cell
2. Select cell and right-click
3. Select "Format cells"
4. Select "Date" category and "1999-12-31" format
Actual Results:
The result will be shown as 1905-06-21
Expected Results:
1999-01-01 (or just 1999 would be even better)
Reproducible: Always
