I could help with identifying the cause if that would be useful to you. For
now, I’ve installed an older version to continue working, but I’d be willing to
uninstall it and reinstall the problematic version if needed.

I would just need clear instructions on how to generate the Activity Monitor
sample and any other necessary diagnostics.

When I reported the bug, I was able to reproduce the issue consistently. Before
and after updating from the old to the new version, I also had files in the
Start Center history, and one file was pinned there.

I consider this bug quite serious. In my opinion, downgrading its priority is
unjustified. Anyone affected by this issue is essentially unable to change
their settings and is forced to downgrade to an older version.
