When the object is set floating, the grid does not barrier it. However, for a fluent layout, images are usually preferred set anchored "AS character" instead of being floating, then the grid will constantly barrier it, as per now. Anyway, the grid will, so far, always barrier tall tone marks, and those intended larger texts (like drop caps), this is not ideal.
