Bug ID: 165834
Summary: Unwanted page breaks in a masted document
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 24.2.0.3 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Libreoffice Writer inserts unwanted page breaks between slave documents in case
they use page style, even when page style is the same.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create empty odt or fodt document 1 with text "any text". save and close.
2.Create empty odt or fodt document 2 with text "any text". save and close.
3.Create empty odt or fodt document 3 with text "any text".. save and close.
4. Create master document 123.odm. Add previous 3. Note that between documents
there are no automatic page breaks.
5. Open consecutively 1.odt, 2.odt, 3.odt and apply any page style (same for
all).
6. update 123.odm. Note that automatic page breaks appeared, regardless that
all three have same page style.
Actual Results:
In a master document automatic page breaks appeared, regardless that all three
have same page style.
Expected Results:
In a master document, if consecutive slave documents have same page style, no
automatic breaks should appear.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
This bug seriously affects using master documents feature, because makes
useless page styles for slave documents. This way cannot achieve continuous
page numbering, TOC numbering etc through master document.
