--- Comment #9 from kenmcd <[email protected]> --- Looks like he is using two different old versions of the fonts. On 7.2 it looks like the old original v0.83 Regular. The Regular weight PostScript name is just "Ubuntu". And has a heavier Regular compared to the newer versions. On 24.2 it looks like the first newer version which included variable - v1.001. The family name is still "Ubuntu". But the Regular weight PostScript name is "Ubuntu-Regular". And the Regular is now lighter than the old fonts. The new Medium is closer to the old Regular (just little bit heavier). This is why the v24.2 example font looks so light. The family was renamed "Ubuntu Sans" starting with the v1.004 release. Neither of the examples look like this. Newer releases (v1.001-v1.006) are here: https://github.com/canonical/Ubuntu-Sans-fonts/releases The old v0.83 fonts are in the repo here: https://github.com/canonical/Ubuntu-Sans-fonts/tree/main/_temp/220512%20Ubuntu%20Binaries%20from%20Google%20Repo GF has their v1.006 here: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Ubuntu+Sans -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
