This is the same formula. On the left, it is entered through the markup
language formula editor, whichever writer version. In this case, the prime
symbol is misplaced too far away from the 'x'

And on the right it is entered through the formula box/frame in writer version
24.2. The prime symbol position is correct. But double-clicking on the formula
box/frame will displace the prime symbol.

Note that in this formula, it is required to edit it because the accepted
standard in math notation is that greek symbols should not be italic. So it is
not possible to get this formula right. That is either the greek symbol is
italic or the prime is misplaced.
