I am running LibreOffice on Linux (fedora-19) Let me describe the situation differently: (1) I set System Volume to 50% (top-right corner in Gnome3) (2) I browse to the .odp file using nautilus and double-click to open (3) After LibreOffice loads the .odp file I check system volume again (4) Mine shoots to 100% (full blast). This is weird in a studio setting as this can damage eardrums, stress speakers and shock listeners.
