Tex2002ans <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEEDINFO |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |NOTABUG --- Comment #10 from Tex2002ans <[email protected]> --- For now, I'm going to then close this issue as NOTABUG. (Since I don't believe it was LibreOffice's issue. It was a very outdated LanguageTool extension.) (In reply to grac from comment #9) > After re-checking my Java, I found out that LO still had jre 1.8.0_461 > > I finally could install and activate jre 21.0.8. > After that I was able to install WritingTool. No problem. :) Oh, and it looks like the LO Extension site currently has: - WritingTool v1.1.1 --- January 2025 but the Github has many versions ahead: - WritingTool 25.7.2 --- September 2025 So definitely make sure you keep up with those version too. Fred continuously fixes and quickly squishes bugs/crashes as they get reported. :) - - - And yes, you may need certain Java versions too: - https://writingtool.org/index.php/en/writingtool-en/requirements --- Currently requires Java 17 or higher. So if your Java is *really* old (Java 8), you'll need to upgrade that too. Sounds like you got that all working and fixed up too. :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
