--- Comment #11 from John Mills <[email protected]> --- Reading the comments here my personal opinion is that we need to be a little more "in peoples faces" due to the disparity of donations between LibreOffice and Thunderbird. We must be mindful of this. Donations are the life blood of LibreOffice and support all of the fantastic work done. An infrequent message that emphasizes to get involved and donate should be welcomed. If we use an info bar or heck even show a message in LibreOffice itself the user should then close then we can pretty much assume that the message has been noticed. If you compare the frequency and interruption that Thunderbird causes then the LibreOffice solicitation is tiny. I do not advocate continuously asking for support and donations but we should not be afraid as a project to do this.This helps to pay peoples wages and support development, sponsored events and documentation.
