This time the new spreadsheet opened with the font set to "Times New Roman" and size to 12 point, so don't waste time chasing the apparent failure to change the font name. The problem that remains is when the "Default value" box is checked the height reverts to .18" after I have changed the font size in the default style. I expected that changing the font size in the default style and then saving it as a default template would change the default value for the row height.
