--- Comment #26 from Jeff Fortin Tam <[email protected]> ---
I was about to file a new bug report for this, because I found the "File >
Properties > Fonts > Font Embedding" settings very confusing:

β–‘ Embed fonts in the document
β–‘ Only embed fonts that are used in the document

…and reading through the documentation explanation in
https://help.libreoffice.org/25.8/en-US/text/shared/01/prop_font_embed.html
just puzzled me more: my understanding is that the two checkboxes are
independent and actually mutually exclusive (if I'm not supposed to check
multiple checkboxes at the same time, then what would happen if did actually
check both?). If so, like comment #5, I would have expected a set of
radiobuttons, something like this:

🞊 Do not embed fonts (lighter filesize, but less portable)
πŸž… Embed fonts actively in use
πŸž… Embed fonts actively in use and all fonts defined in document's styles sheet

If my interpretation is correct, then making that change within that particular
dialog would already be an actionable improvement to begin with, better than
nothing.

It would seem to me that the bunch of other complex topics would be best kept
for a separate issue (unless we were to separate out the specific topic of the
file properties dialog's Fonts tab, but it seems that other specific reports
like bug #130185 were already marked as duplicates of this one here).
