Bug ID: 170128
Summary: Shift+F3 (Cycle Case) NOT respect selection when
there's "Tracked changes". Undoing "Accept" of
"Tracked changes" crashes Writer
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.4.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Shift+F3 (Cycle Case) does NOT respect text selection when there's many
"Tracked changes".
If only one word selected Shift+F3 can cycle the whole line (and often cycle a
line above also).
Not sure how to display the number of tracked changes, probably about a hundred
of Tracked changes.
Once I accept ALL tracked changes, Shift+F3 usually starts respecting current
text selection.
For troubleshooting I deleted almost everything from about 100-page document
and left only 3 lines of text and nothing else. Shift+F3 still doesn't respect
text selection.
Next I accepted ALL tracked changes, and Shift+F3 started to respect current
text selection.
However undoing "Accept" of "Tracked changes" crashed Writer completely.
Hence I believe having (possibly MANY) "Tracked changes" is the key for
reproduction.
Unfortunately the document has lots of personal data, therefore I can't share
it here.
If I create a new document and simply copy-paste text to a new document, I
can't reproduce the issue.
If smbd can provide detailed instructions for debugging it locally, I'm happy
to do that.
Thank you.
