Bug ID: 170131
Summary: headless PDF generation modifies the saved window size
and position for interactive session
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.2.7.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
After a Writer window is sized and positioned on a screen (for optimal use by a
particular user), and then, while no interactive windows are open, the user
runs a script that uses command line options to generate a PDF from a Writer
file, the next time that user starts Writer interactively, the window position
and size has been alterned.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. start a Writer window, position and size it, and note the resulting position
and size, and close the all LibreOffice windows.
2. Run a Writer with command line options to generate a PDF from a Writer file
3. Start a Writer window, and note that the resulting position and size of the
window is different than at the end of step one.
Actual Results:
The window size and position changes when step 2 is performed between step 1
and 3. Without step 2, the window size and position stays consistent until the
user changes it.
Expected Results:
The window size and position shouldn't be affected by running a headless PDF
generation operation.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
I didn't explore to determine if other or all headless Writer operations would
change the interactive window size and position, but that will probably be
discovered during the process of isolating and fixing this issue.
