            Bug ID: 170807
Summary: Inconsistent language choice options are inconvenient
                    and time wasting
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
As I understand from read already posted reports, it is by design that in Calc
there is a convenient entry for just one language on a per-document basis e.g.

Calc > Tools > Language > For All Text > English

This approach forces multi-lingual users to select particular cells and then
choose e.g.

Format > Cells > Fonts > Western > Language > Polish

in order to apply different spellchecking - while at the same time in Writer
there is a convenient coexistence of e.g.

Writer > Tools > Language > For Selection > English
Writer > Tools > Language > For Selection > Polish
Writer > Tools > Language > For Paragraph > English
Writer > Tools > Language > For Paragraph > Polish
Writer > Tools > Language > For All Text > English
Writer > Tools > Language > For All Text > Polish

nested options that are easily findable even for newcomers

This dichotomy is example of inconsistency that makes users waste their time
figuring out the differences between two programs of the same suite. I
personally if I see

Writer > Tools > Language > For Selection > English
Writer > Tools > Language > For Selection > Polish

I expect to see also

Calc > Tools > Language > For Selection > English
Calc > Tools > Language > For Selection > Polish

because it is a logical assumption, especially due to fact that LibreOffice
does not allow to install some of it programs, but is only installed as a
suite. Thus seeing merely

Calc > Tools > Language > For All Text > English

made me automatically think that either something has installed wrongly and /
or I miss-configured my Calc in comparison to my Writer. And I reckon the same
must have happened for tens of thousands of users before me and will continue
to frustrate people if behavior of Calc is not unified towards that of Writer

Steps to Reproduce:
Just compare these menus in Calc and Writer

Actual Results:
Confusing inconsistency

Expected Results:
Unified nested menus

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
It is a common thing for a user to interchangeably use own native language and
a English - the Writer easily accommodated for that, while Calc does not
