--- Comment #9 from Seán Ó Séaghdha <[email protected]> ---
This is definitely still a bug in the current version:

Version: 25.8.4.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 580(Build:2)
CPU threads: 24; OS: Linux 6.18; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: ga-IE (ga_IE.UTF-8); UI: ga-IE
25.8.4-3
Calc: threaded

There is no simple solution (like a centred DIV in HTML/CSS) for setting poetry
in Writer, so using a frame with text is the only way to do it.

I usually format poetry with one style which includes the spacing for verses
and then use line-breaks for lines. This is exactly what does not work with
frames currently.

To work with (auto-sizing) frames (as they currently are) the user has to
create TWO styles, one for most of the poem and one for the first line of a new
verse. Clunky and not very discoverable.
