Bug ID: 171049
Summary: Border Line Style Rendering Issues ++
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.0.3 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
When user applies a border line style to a border, there are multiple rendering
issues.
Double lines that have varying thickness between the inner and outer border do
not render correctly.
Double lines that have varying thickness between the inner and outer border
produce "tails" or "extensions" that run beyond the inner border boundary.
When selecting a line style for a border, the double line and other line styles
may artifact and look like a completely different line style making it
difficult to identify the line style. This applies with all View options (Skia,
Skia forced, GPU acceleration on or off, anti aliasing on or off)
In tandem, when one sets no line style for the inner cell boundaries and only
applied a line style for the outer boundary border and unchecks "Merge adjacent
line styles" it introduces a 1px white line or absence of the applied outer
line style to the outer border.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a new document
2.Create a table
3.Apply line style to border of table (Doesn't matter if its only outer or all
borders)
4. Apply line style to border of header or footer
5. Apply line style to border of Page
Actual Results:
Border thickness on these settings look like an embossed picture frame.
Expected Results:
Thin Thick (Medium, Large or Small gap) should have the border properly applied
where the entire outside border is the appropriate thickness and inner border
appropriate thickness.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
Names should also allocate properly, THICK THIN would make more sense if the
outer border was THICK and inner border THIN ; whereas the first thickness
represents the outer border and second thickness represents the inner border.
The border settings in the header appear to function properly, but further
testing is required.
