A user can accidentally replace the background of a shape or another image by
simply dragging a image on it, even though he actually wanted to paste it
instead of replacing it.
To avoid accidental replacement of the background or image during dragging, can
try implement the Ctrl+V paste feature. In this case, the user's action is
deliberate: copy the image, select the desired object (shape or image), press
Ctrl+V, and either fill the shape with a background or replace the existing
one.
