            Bug ID: 171388
Summary: Enable opening new instances of LibreOffice as new
                    documents
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: Inherited From OOo
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: UI
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
If one of the LibreOffice apps is running, and I middle-click its icon in the
dock, then it simply takes me to the already open window, rather than opening a
new one as middle-clicking usually does. It would make my life easier if
middle-clicking an already open LibreOffice app always created a second window
with an empty document on the workspace I am in.

Thank you!

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open, say, LibreOffice Writer in Workspace 1
2. (Optional) switch to Workspace 2
2. Middle-click on the LibreOffice Writer icon in the dock/taskbar

Actual Results:
You are whisked back to Workspace 1, and the window you had previously opened
is focused.

Expected Results:
A second LibreOffice Writer window is opened in Workspace 2 with a new
document—the same behavior as if you had pressed the "New Document" button in
the upper-left corner of the original window.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I'm running LibreOffice on Linux using the GNOME desktop at the moment, but I
believe this issue also occurs on other desktops and Windows. I don't know
about macOS.
