I'm against micro-managing of table styles. You never ask for similar attribute
groups for paragraph styles, for example, and this idea dilutes the power of
styles in general.

What we can do is to add a checkbox to the edit dialog that allows to set an
attribute for all elements, ie. background, border, columns, rows, etc., at
once. Or, if you want to go further, make the elements dropdown a checkbox list
with an option to select all, and apply the changed attribute to all checked
items.

-1 to splitting a style, however.
