Tdf 171481 is about (incorrectly) identifying some symbols as if they are markdown, but they are not really so. Tdf 171267 is about a seemingly markdown content, without the user's intention to be so. These 2 reports seem to seek similar outcomes (i.e. paste the copied text "as-is"?), but they also point to completely different input data too.
