--- Comment #7 from [email protected] --- ady is correct in pointing out that I propose to not even interpret valid and/or intentional markdown when pasting as "unformatted text". The text mentioned in the second paragraph of my initial report, three asterisks in a row on every line of text, may be (non-intended) valid markup. Pasting as "unformatted text" should neither invoke a popup asking whether to paste as unformatted or markdown, nor interpret valid markdown. Similarly, a "normal" paste should not ask to interpret markdown either. Especially not in a spreadsheet program. Sorry, this is probably just a regression and a real bug. But I am still afraid that someone might see markdown interpretation as a useful standard feature, when it would disrupt the workflow of probably the vast majority of users. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
