To the question of the need of the empty curly brackets, I came on this solution, and it seems to be the only I am able to give at this time. If I include anything between, I get ERR539. In my opinion, the fact Calc automatically replacing {} by {#N/D} in a formula is a bug, because of the behavior on reloading after. That is the reason to my report. I am a little bit casual in use of Calc, so I know you could be right to say it is not one. In this case, it should be an other way to describe an empty matrix, that I was not able to find (not in documentation nor on internet). I guess I will go to ask site a little bit later.
