Normally, when you paste a value or a formula in a cell, the format is preserved, in this case, the cells keep merged if they were. In the case of this formula, if you try to paste it in a merged cell, the cells will unmerge, the formula will be reproduced in the unmerged cells, and in these that were covered you will get ERR 533 as a result. You can verify this in the attached file. This is the true bug I report.
