            Bug ID: 172032
Summary: Writer: font change for math in existing formula
reverts after save/reopen (regression from 24.8.x)
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.3.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Expected behavior:
In LibreOffice Writer versions prior to 26.2.x, I could change the Math font of
an existing formula even after saving and reopening the document. The new font
would stick.

Actual behavior:
Since version 26.2.x (currently using 26.2.3.2 on Fedora 43), when I change the
Math font of an existing formula, save, close, and reopen the document, the
font reverts to the previous one. Further attempts to change it fail; the
change is not applied after closing the formula editor.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new Writer document.
2. Insert a formula (e.g., `x^2 + 1`).
3. Change its Math font to, say, "Cambria Math" (using Format > Fonts).
4. Save the document, close it, and reopen it.
5. Try to change the Math font again, for example to "OpenSymbol".
6. Close the formula editor. The font reverts to "Cambria Math" and the change
is lost.

Additional info:
- LibreOffice version: 26.2.3.2 (X86_64)
- OS: Fedora 43, Wayland
- This worked correctly in all versions before 26.2.x. It appears to be a
regression.
- I can attach a sample .odt file if needed.

Steps to Reproduce:

The font reverts to "Cambria Math" and the change
is lost.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
This does not happen in versions prior to 26.2.x; the new font sticks after
save/reopen.
