Some files are slow to open, but it is solvable by the same method stated in Comment 17(or just copy-paste to new file). The problem is occurring when Opensnitch (https://github.com/evilsocket/opensnitch) outgoing firewall is used and access is denied to LO by a query popup. Furthermore, other dialogs are affected: open Writer blank> Find and replace dialog> Format, then UI hangs for ~20s with no notification what's going on.
