I'll make two points: * I am not asking, in this bug, for Markdown interpretation to be reduced in priority below Unformatted text. That would likely circumvent the problem, but even when Markdown interpretation _is_ in effect, we should still not get the paragraph break (and probably not the spacing either). * Prioritizing Markdown interpretation over plain text has the benefit of increasing the discoverability of this feature, i.e. people will notice this non-trivial parsing of their pasted content; and the detriment of acting in a way that may be surpising to the user, with newbie users perhaps finding it difficult to realize they can paste without Markdown interpretation. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
