Sample docx file which can be used to reproduce the issue
Issue Description:
When opening a .docx file in LibreOffice Writer, an image (floating drawing
object/logo) that is explicitly set to horizontal center alignment relative to
the page in Microsoft Word loses its alignment and is rendered as left-aligned.
This misalignment is visible both in LibreOffice Writer directly and in any
downstream rendering that uses LibreOffice for document conversion (e.g., PDF
export). The issue is reproducible consistently with LibreOffice Writer
26.2.3.2. Please find the attached screenshots.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a .docx document in Microsoft Word containing a floating image/drawing
object (e.g., a logo or graphic) positioned with horizontal alignment: Center,
relative to: Page (set via Format Picture → Position → Horizontal).
2.Confirm the image appears center-aligned when viewed in Microsoft Word.
3.Open the same .docx file in LibreOffice Writer 26.2.3.2.
4.Observe the position of the image on the page.
Please use the attached sample_file.docx to reproduce this issue.
Actual Results:
The floating image/drawing object, which is center-aligned in the original DOCX
file, is displayed left-aligned in LibreOffice Writer. The horizontal centering
relative to the page is not preserved during DOCX import.
Expected Results:
The floating image/drawing object should retain its center-horizontal alignment
(relative to the page) as defined in the DOCX file, consistent with how
Microsoft Word renders the same document.
Reproducible : Always
