Bug ID: 172447
Summary: (Re)consider default choice of styles for drop-down
list in toolbar, properties deck, NBB
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Keywords: needsUXEval
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer

The drop-down styles list box on the toolbar; on the Sidebar Properties deck;
and the choice of styles in the NBB gallery - all contain the same list of
styles. But - why this list? What is the rationale for this choice? And note
that it's not any of the single filters for the styles sidebar, nor, AFAICT, a
conjuction of these filters. If this list makes sense for the drop-down,
wouldn't it make sense as a filter? Or vice-versa? What _should_ the criterion
be for putting a style on that list?
In bug 108239, it was suggested that similar concerns be handled in a separate
bug - this is (one such) bug.
