Bug ID: 172454
Summary: UI: "Freeze rows/columns" behaves unexpectedly
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
When I right click on a row or column, I expect to be able to freeze it so that
I can scroll around and it stays in place.
The functionality is present under "View -> Freeze cells -> Freeze first row",
but (based on using other spreadsheet software) I expected it to be in the
right-click menu, especially because there's an option in the right-click menu
for "Freeze Rows and Columns"
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a column by clicking the column name
2. View -> Freeze Rows and Columns (Or, right click-> Freeze Rows and Columns)
Actual Results:
Nothing
Expected Results:
The column freezes (so that I can scroll around the sheet and still see the
column)
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Version: 25.8.5.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 580(Build:2)
CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 6.18; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded
